New Guidelines for the SOL Exam || Instructions for Delhi University School of Open Learning (SOL) Exam

1.The examinees are requested to kindly verify the date, time and venue of the examination from the Admit Card and date sheet published by the Examination Branch, University of Delhi available on the website https://sol.du.ac.in



2.In case of any discrepancies in the date and time printed in the admit card, the date sheet/notification issued by the Examination Branch, University of Delhi (https://du.ac.in) and also available on the SOL website (https://sol.du.ac.in) will be final

3. The candidate must bring his/her Admit Card along with one Identity Card/Voter Identity Card or any other valid proof of Identification while appearing in the examination.


4.The Candidates are, admitted to the examination under the conditions laid down in the Ordinances and Regulations of the University. In this connection, a copy of the Code of Conduct for Examinees, directions to candidates for examinations, copies of Ordinance X & X-A dealing with General Rules for Examinations and disorderly conduct/use of Unfair Means can be obtained from SOL office.


5.. Candidates are advised to read the contents carefully immediately on receipt of Admit Card.


6.Candidates must not bring with them any electronic gadget like transistor, mobile phone, wireless set, Bluetooth device etc. to the examination centre, otherwise he/she will liable to be prosecuted under Unfair Means (UFM) laid down by code of Conduct of Examination.


7.Students are advised not to get the Admission Ticket laminated


8.. In case of any discrepancy/problem regarding Admit Card, students may contact Assistant Registrar (Exam.), SOL. The decision of the University in this regard will be final.

9.Entry in the examination hall will not be allowed after 30 minutes from the time of commencement of examination

10.Examinees are not allowed to leave the Examination Hall until the lapse of 30 minutes from the commencement of the Examination.

11.Please ensure Admit card contains complete address of the examination centre/venue of examinations

12.The Superintendent of Examination, the Invigilation Staff, the Members of the Visiting Team/s and the Observer/s are free to do physical search of the candidates at any time during the course of examination or before entering into the examination hall to ensure that they do not have any unauthorised material in their possession.

13.Student should be careful while writing Roll Number on Answer sheets. The incorrect Roll No. may lead his/her answer sheet unevaluation and untraceable. The University shall not be held responsible for this.

14. This Admit card, downloaded from the website, will be valid subject to the verification of the competent authority of the Examination Centre.

15.The Superintendent of the Examination Centre must ensure the authenticity of the candidate on the basis of relevant documents available with the candidate.
